Program description
Lifestyle Coaching is a 2-year Master’s degree program for graduates of the first-degree studies: psychology, dietetics, recreation and physical education. The program is aimed at providing education in three areas: proper diet, physical activity and emotional balance. Graduates will be able to expand their knowledge by getting acquainted with new areas of science which will enable them to take a holistic approach towards their customers and become better personal trainers, physiotherapists or dietitians.
The field of Lifestyle Coaching has received accreditation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The accredited Approved Coaching Specific Training Hours in the International Coach Federation (ACSTH ICF) are part of the curriculum. This means that graduates of this field, apart from receiving a university diploma, will also obtain an ACSTH ICF certificate entitling them to work as a coach and they will be fully prepared to take an international accreditation exam for a professional ICF coach at ACC level (Associate Certified Coach International Coach Federation). The core of the curriculum has been developed according to international ICF standards and is consistent with the ethics of professional coaching.
What are the advantages of studying the Lifestyle Coaching?
In the United States as much as 70 percent of middle managers (almost 100 percent top managers) systematically use the services of personal coaches. In England, 80 percent of companies invest in coaching, in Poland – only 15 percent. According to the Forbes research, ROI in coaching is 6-fold, and according to PwC data even 7-fold. As it turns out, it is not only worth investing in coaching, but also in a career as a coach. According to the Future of Jobs report, digital and social competences will gain on importance in the future, and the latter will play a key role in the process of change that we will experience. Our career will not be based on one learned profession. We will have to improve our skills, expand education and change our profession, i.e. job, on a continuous basis. And, in connection with those changes, we will need coaches who will help us get to grips with any challenges posed by them.
